In your own words and using referenced quotes explain why strategy theories developed in the last 10 years tend to be quite different from those developed in the 1960’s.

Henry Mintzberz defined strategy as "a pattern in a stream of decisions" to contrast with a view of strategy as planning while  argues that "strategy is about shaping the future" and is the human attempt to get to "desirable ends with available means".

The strategy has been changing with the process of business need and trends. From 1960’s strategy has been changing constantly with the time. During last 10 years there was low competition and less globalization where the economic and political conditions were also stable. Due to less competition on old days with compare to present situation show there has been huge change in the function of the business strategy.

Different changes have been experienced in 10 years.

      Less competition to Huge competition

      Monopoly Market to Perfect competition

      Focuses on quantity to focuses on quality

      Financial easiness to Financial difficulty

      Selling power to buying power

      Seller superior to buyer superior

      Stable working environment to intense competition

You attend a job interview for an entry level managerial position and mention that you completed a 30 week strategy module. Your interviewer seems interested and explains that this job role would enable you to become involved in the strategy making process. In 200 to 300 words explain to your interviewer how the module has helped to prepare you for a strategy role.

Strategy is something that we always implement on daily day to day life knowing as well as unknowingly. Before strategy was implement to achieve long term goals and objectives. But in today’s term strategy has been changed drastically. Strategy has the organization to adapt toward the change and flexibility.

At the beginning it was difficult to understand the topics related to the strategy. It was only related to the organizational goal and action plan. Later the choice to perfect strategy as per the requirement help to gain the knowledge on the real scenario  The use of analytically tools such as TOWS, SWOT, PESTLE, Porter’s five force Model and 7s model helped us to think on the same matter from different prospective to understand the business and tackle to the arising problem which has been experiencing.

With the use of the effective knowledge on the subject as well as the practical examples helped to develop our skills in giving a solution toward the problem by implementing the tools.

The 30 week course has enabled me to be successful strategist and skilled with all the technical knowledge to overcome the arising problems. This has enabled me to good manager and strategist to implement on the organization.
